Strawberry Chocolate Porter Topping

1/4 cup Chocolate Porter Beer Syrup

16oz strawberries (not frozen)

Prepare strawberries by washing and cutting the tops off.  Slice the strawberries into quarters and add to a small sauce pan with the Chocolate Porter Beer Syrup.  Bring to a low simmer and cook until the strawberries have lightly softened.  Transfer to a storage container and refrigerate until the cheesecake is ready to be served.
