HOW IT STARTED

An experimental session with simple syrups along with a love of all things beer led me to create Beer Syrup in 2014. I’ve been fortunate with a variety of experiences in the food & beverage industry, and bartending has been an especially passionate adventure of mine. Working with many incredibly talented mixologists, Chefs, and mentors over the years gave me the inspiration to create a unique, hand-crafted product that everyone can enjoy.

Founded in 2014, The Beer Syrup Company is the first-ever commercial producer of Beer Syrups that can be used in endless types of food & beverage. The Beer Syrups were originally designed to be mixed with spirits for cocktails, but I quickly realized the great potential of uses throughout the food and beverage industry. We love to use it as a sweetener for our cold brew coffee and lattés or simply as a topping for ice cream and waffles.  It’s also delicious with meats, fish and vegetables and even mixed in craft cocktails. With all the different uses for Beer Syrup, we are always dreaming up our next recipe idea.

THE PROCESS

My team uses specified cooking temperatures and times based on the original ABV of the beer, while ensuring the final product is non-alcoholic, containing less than 1% ABV. Finding the right beer to use is the challenging, yet fun, part of the process. My favorites are porters & stouts, which work well because of their malt-forward, naturally sweet flavors. Our team is experimenting with other styles of beer, which we can’t wait for you to try!
